Hi, I'm Make.

I build interactive web experiences and full-stack apps, from the first click to a live URL.

An interactive web presentation, a full-stack app and a 3D puzzle solver. All live, all with source code.

01Interactive web presentation

Saltmere

HTML · CSS · JavaScriptSVG animationVideo-readyMobile

A point-and-click walkthrough of a fictional seaside town. You pick a place on an illustrated map, read its story, then step inside a full-screen scene and click things to make them happen.

What I built

  • An illustrated town map with five places; clicking one zooms the map smoothly and opens its description, with Previous / Next for a guided tour
  • Full-screen scenes where clicks change what you see: a boat sails out, the lighthouse beam sweeps the bay, market stalls open, a whale surfaces, museum doors swing open
  • A day / night switch for every scene, and a slot for a real video clip per place, with the illustration as a fallback so a missing clip never shows a broken player
  • Links to any place or straight into its scene, so a main website can open a specific stop in its own window

Problems I solved

  • On phones the wide scene is cropped, so clickable points drifted off their objects; the scene, video and points now share one frame, each scene opens on its main subject, and you drag sideways to look around
  • Night mode had to dim the scene but keep windows, lanterns and the lighthouse beam bright, so the art is split into a base layer under a darkening veil and a glow layer above it

Saltmere is a fictional town. Plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript with no build step.

Macros Tracker

Python · FastAPIPostgreSQLReact · TypeScriptTailwindClaude API

A calorie and macro tracker. You photograph a meal and AI estimates calories, protein, fat and carbs, which you can correct before saving to a daily diary.

What I built

  • Sign-up and login with JWT tokens, user profile and daily targets from the Mifflin-St Jeor formula
  • Food-photo recognition with Claude Vision, returning structured JSON through tool use
  • Diary with meals grouped by photo or time (Lunch 1, Lunch 2), inline editing, recent dishes, AI advice
  • Responsive dark UI built from a written design brief; deployed as three separate services

Problems I solved

  • The AI refused unclear photos, so I rewrote the prompt to give a best-effort estimate with a confidence level and a note
  • Entries near midnight landed on the wrong day, so day boundaries now use the user's timezone
  • Raw API errors leaked to users, so they are mapped to short readable messages

Free hosting: the first request after a pause can take 30-50 seconds while the server wakes up.

03Web app

Make Solve

React · TypeScriptThree.jsComputer visionVitest

A Rubik's Cube solver. You show the cube to your camera or upload six photos, the app checks that such a cube can exist, then walks you through the solution move by move on a 3D cube, with a beginner method or CFOP.

What I built

  • A camera detector written from scratch: it finds the face in a wide frame, fits a 3x3 grid and reads only those cells, and turns faces shown sideways back on its own
  • Two solvers: a beginner layer-by-layer method and CFOP with an optimal cross, F2L pairs and one-look OLL (57 cases) and PLL (21 cases) with named case cards
  • 3D playback forward and back, autoplay with adjustable speed, explanations in words or in notation, a formula reference, light and dark themes
  • A cube check that explains in plain words what is wrong: color counts, impossible pieces, a twisted corner, a flipped edge, parity

Problems I solved

  • On stickerless cubes pieces of one color merge into one blob, so every region is read as a block of 1x1 to 3x3 pieces and the piece size that forms the best 3x3 grid wins
  • A square block has no long side to show how it is turned, so the grid is aligned using fourth-order image moments
  • 78 last-layer formulas typed from reference sheets could hide typos, so each one is run backwards to build its case, and tests check that all cases differ and none breaks the first two layers

The interface is in Russian. Camera video is processed in the browser and never uploaded.

About

Intro

I'm Make, a web developer. I build full-stack applications and websites: interface, server, database and deployment. Every project starts from a clear brief and ends with a live URL and source code on GitHub.
